POOL THERAPY
Since 1992, Dwight Orthopedic Rehabilitation Company has been installing therapeutic pools in its free-standing facilities. Each pool maintains deep and shallow exercise areas and spa jets.
The addition of therapeutic pool therapy to our already wide range of services has been instrumental in improving our management of both acute and chronic dysfunction. The benefits of early weight bearing and stretching in the warm water are often remarkable. The water temperature is kept at a warm 93 F which make the pools comfortable for stretching and exercise yet not hot which may cause excessive fatigue.
HAND THERAPY
Dwight Orthopedic is proud to have 3 Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) on staff.
Hand Therapy certification requires 5 years of post graduate work directly in hand therapy followed by completion of a rigorous board examination.
These therapists specialize in the following:
- Custom Orthotic Splinting
- Adaptive Assessment
- Rehabilitation after Tendon Repair
- Specialized care in fractures and soft tissue injuries
- Crush and traumatic upper extremity injuries
